Healing

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5

This is what Jesus meant when he was being crucified for us. I remember when I was younger, my mom’d always pray the second half of this verse over my sisters and me whenever we needed prayer for physical healing. I have a midterm soon but just know that we have been given the authority from Jesus the Son of God to heal and to have the Holy Spirit with us, personally yet powerfully.

Until I’m done with half of my college career!!!

I’m super excited because this year, though long and interesting, has definitely been an unexpected year where I learn a lot and love a lot. Some things that have happen and the lifestyle of a second year college student have been blessings to me immensely.

And after that, I’m gonna be chilling in NorCal for a couple weeks then fly to TAIWAN! I will be doing one of my favorite things in my life— mission— there (in Kaohsiung, the southern part of Taiwan) for a month; it’s gonna be very different from what I’ve done with FHL short term missions before because of the team this year and the tentative agenda (ask me more about it in person even though it hasn’t happened yet hahaha).

After mission, I will be interning at a marketing company in Taipei for a month. Thanks to my mom who taught marketing at a university before we came here, otherwise this unique opportunity would never ever occur to me.

After that, I’ll be back in the States for the rest of September.

THEN JUNIOR YEAR.

I’m just so excited for my life and where I’m at right now. I am SUPER thankful for my blessed life so far.

God, use me. Use me in the way You intended for me to bring you glory. Give me wisdom and strength in that I may carry out the mission that You’ve called me to, even if it brings suffering.

In life, we all go through a pruning process. God will prune our lives so that we can bear much fruit. To “prune” means something is cut away, something is removed. In other words, maybe a good friend that you counted on moved to another city. Maybe a business shut down that you were connected to, or a relationship went a different direction.

Friend, God knows what you need in your life in order to grow and flourish. Sometimes when things happen that we don’t understand, we have to just trust that He is working behind the scenes preparing you for increase, preparing you to go to another level. Don’t put a question mark where God has placed a period.

When you’re going through transition, don’t get bitter. Don’t get down and think it’s the end. Don’t start thinking that you’re a failure. Have the attitude, “God, I let this go knowing that it was only temporary provision, and what You have in my future will be greater than what I’m letting go of.” If you will accept the change and stay in faith, God will open new doors. He will bring new opportunities, new friendships, and take you to another level of His glory!
